Hello, I'm Stacey Coyne

I am an insured Licenced Counselling Therapist (LCT-C) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), offering  in person, and video counselling services to individuals and families across Canada. I have been in practice for over 10 years working with couples, families, youth, children and adults in a variety of settings including private practice and government programs.

If you are feeling STUCK and unable to make changes to reach your full potential, I provide non-judgmental support to aid you and / or your family in identifying the challenges that are creating stress and preventing growth and movement forward.

Prior to COVID-19 I was fortunate enough to be able to have my wonderful golden retrievers, Kaci & Journey trained as therapy dogs. They were my therapy assistants with those who requested their presence to help create a calm and safe environment. Animals are proved to have multiple benefits for physical and mental health. Especially during this difficult time of isolation, clients are expressing that they are missing the presence of my assistants. I am fortunate in that they are with all the time, but I do hope to be able to offer their support once again as services start to re open and face to face counselling sessions begin again.

Self-care is an important part of daily stress management. It is even more important now with the health pandemic creating extra stress, anxiety and uncertainty. Part of my own self care has been to take my love for animals and become a Certified Small Animal Massage Therapist as well as certified in Hydrotherapy for dogs. I feel very fortunate to be able to balance my life with my love for supporting humans as well as animals.

My Vision

I believe that each family and individual who I support is unique; coming from a variety of life experiences that have shaped who they are as individuals as well as within their social and family networks. I enjoy helping my clients recognize and build on their strengths and look at the challenges that have been barriers to reaching goals and creating change. My work focuses on using therapeutic approaches that best suit individual needs.

Family wellness is my goal, considering all domains including physical, mental, biological, emotional, and spiritual health. I strive to support my clients achieve their ideal wellness through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, which I have found to help clients feel safe and at ease during the therapeutic process.
